Open letter to Virat Kohli on completing 12 years in International Cricket

Dear Virat,

Congratulations on completing 12 years in International Cricket, serving the nation with utmost pride and dedication. Being your fans who are closely following your journey since 2008 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, we were equally happy as you were on your selection in the Indian ODI squad for the tour of Sri Lanka 12 years ago…

From walking down the middle as a teenager with the butterflies in stomach on 18th August 2008 against Sri Lanka at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium to becoming the Captain of Indian National Cricket Team, it has been our immense pleasure to accompany you on this remarkable journey so far.

There were several ups and downs on this journey to become one of the best batsmen in the world but the way you handled all kinds of situations with precision is commendable. What adds to this awesomeness is the way you have treated your seniors, fellow cricketers and fans with respect over years.

We are fortunate to have a player of your calibre representing our national side who strives to become better by every passing day – may it be by spending hours on the field doing intense batting and fielding drills or by spending hours in gym doing intense workout sessions.

You are an inspiration to one and all and we promise to stick by you as you continue to make India proud. Here’s wishing you all the best and lots of success in the years to come!

Yours Sincerely,
ViratGang® – Representing all your Viratians…
